Younhee Kim is an Assistant Professor in the English Language and Literature Academic Group at the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University. She did her Ph. D and MA in the department of Second Language Studies at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa specializing in discourse-analytic approaches to second language acquisition. She lectures and tutors on pragmatics, language acquisition, and conversation analysis in NIE.
She has published in Journal of Pragmatics, and System. Her work has also appeared in the edited collection such asLanguage Learning and Teaching as Social Inter-Action, Talk-in-interaction: Multilingual perspectives, and The Encyclopedia of Applied Linguistics. Her research interests include second language pragmatics and CA-for-SLA (Conversation Analysis-for-Second Language Acquisition).
