Towards a Framework of Inclusive Practice in Singapore

Project Number
OER 13/14 LJY

Project Duration
January 2015 - October 2016

This study on inclusive education aims to research and establish a framework of inclusive practice for students with learning difficulties, their parents and teachers within the general education system in Singapore. It is our vision that once the proof-of-concept is working, this framework will serve to aid in the design of intervention programs within general schools. Within the framework, case management will be practiced as a way of coordinating all resources from various agencies to further support students with learning difficulties. These agencies may include teachers within their respective schools, MOE specialists, as well as those from the local communities and other government agencies such as National Committee on Youth Guidance and Rehabilitation, and child development units in public hospitals.
