The research project will focus on 2 areas. The first area focuses at (i) looking into the motivations behind teacher inquiry. While the structure of the PPI initiative facilitates opportunities for pre-service teachers to articulate and share their conception of teaching and learning, it is imperative that they have ownership of their learning and the intrinsic motivation to think about various ways to adapt to their student’s learning needs and engage them in learning (Hammer, & Schifter, 2001).
