Abstract
This present study seeks to compare the retrospective conceptions and perspectives of fieldwork held by student-teachers whilst taking the module QCG524: Teaching and Learning Geography Outside the Classroom in January, 2010 with their present conceptions of fieldwork now that they are full-time geography teachers who have organized and/or participated in fieldtrips.
Bearing the considerations outlined above, this present comparative study seeks to accomplish these central objectives:
1. To identify the positive and/or negative preconceptions and concerns of fieldwork held by student-teachers
2. To evaluate their reflections on fieldwork after undertaking the module QCG524: Teaching and Learning Geography Outside the Classroom in January 2010
3. To compare these reflections with those obtained in a follow up survey (2013/2014) after they have become full-fledged geography teachers who have organized and participated in fieldtrips
