Group Personal Accident (GPA) Insurance Scheme

Full-time NTU undergraduates, NIE student teachers and higher degree students are required to be covered under the GPA Insurance Scheme.

A new insurance policy will take effect from 1 July 2018. For more information on the policy and claim submission process for the current and new insurance policies, please refer to the following:


NTU Email Account

NIE students who are claiming insurance under the GPA Insurance scheme must correspond with the insurance company, AVIVA using an NTU email address. The NTU email address serves as proof of a person's identity as NIE student. The insurance claim will be rejected if NIE students choose to correspond with AVIVA using a personal email address.

The NTU email account is open for application to all NIE student teachers and higher degree students. Students may refer to the following for details of how to sign up for the NTU email account:

 


Group Hospitalisation & Surgical Insurance (GHSI) Scheme

In addition to the GPA scheme, University policy also requires the following full-time students in NIE to be covered under the GHSI scheme:

              - International and SPR student teachers

              -  Exchange/Non-Graduating students

              -  International and SPR students in the following leadership programmes:

  • Management and Leadership in Schools (MLS)
  • Leaders in Education Programme (LEP)
  • Teacher Leaders Programme (TLP)

             
             -  Local, International and SPR students in higher degree programmes
